PURPOSE: A composition containing Vaccinium oldhami Miquel leaf extract for preventing and treating obesity is provided to reduce weight and adipose near kidney and epididymis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating obesity contains Vaccinium oldhami Miquel leaf extract as an active ingredient. The Vaccinium oldhami Miquel leaf extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4 or mixture solvent thereof. The pharmaceutically effective amount of composition is administered to an individual for treating or preventing obesity.
