<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength and durability of a weld part to the meshing reaction of a ring gear while allowing assembling with a reduced number of part items and a reduced number of operation steps. <P>SOLUTION: A differential device 1 includes a ring gear 3 which receives a driving force of an engine; a differential case 9 including a case body 5 and a cover 7, and a differential mechanism 11 for distributing rotation of the differential case 9 toward a pair of wheels. The ring gear 3 is welded to at least one of the case body 5 and the cover 7, and this weld part 15 is located within a range R of the meshing reaction which the ring gear 3 receives from a counter gear. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
