摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form more highly precise teeth on a gear to be cut by stabilizing an engagement state between the teeth of the gear to be cut and a cutting edge of the tool body for the prevention of waves from being generated on the tooth form even if the mechanical rigidity of a machining apparatus is low or the rigidity of the gear to be cut itself is low. SOLUTION: By performing driving synchronously with the gear 11 to be cut whose rotation is driven in cutting the gear 11 to be cut with a cutting edge 4 engaged with the gear 12 of the gear 11 to be cut, cutting edge surfaces 7, 9 of the tool are brought into contact with tooth surfaces 14, 15 of the gear 11 to be cut for engagement. In a state engaged in this way, the number of tooth surfaces 14 where the right cutting edge surface 7 of the tool engages with the gear 11 to be cut is always configured to be the same as the number of tooth surfaces 15 where the left cutting edge surface 9 of the tool engages with the gear 11 to be cut.
