<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily grasp a blind area image generated by a vehicle itself by transparent synthesis when an image of a camera attached to the outside of the vehicle is converted into an image from a virtual view point which is set to the outside of the vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A system of displaying an image around a vehicle has: a photographing part 1 that takes images in a region around the vehicle including at least a blind region; an overhead image converting part 22 that converts the image taken by the photographing part 1 into an overhead image from a virtual view point around the vehicle which is preliminarily set; an image synthesizing part 24 that carries out blend synthesis of vehicle illustration corresponding to the image from the preliminarily set virtual view point into the overhead image at a designated blending rate; and a display apparatus 3 that displays the overhead image to which the blend synthesis of the vehicle illustration is carried out by the image synthesizing part 24.
