<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of effectively utilizing a previously given band according to user's needs when performing voice communication and video communication through a communication network. <P>SOLUTION: When performing the voice communication and the video communication through the communication network, a control part in a terminal determines the band distribution of a voice signal and a video signal in a band applied to the communication. In this case, the control part analyzes either one of voice data expressing voice collected by a microphone and voice data received from another terminal and determines the band distribution so that the band distribution to the voice is increased in proportion to the level of sound pressure in accordance with the analytical result.
