<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a camera body. <P>SOLUTION: The camera body 1 includes a body mount 150, a CMOS image sensor 110, a shutter unit 190, a shutter drive device 191, and an electronic viewfinder 180. The CMOS image sensor 110 converts an optical image of a subject into an electrical signal. The shutter unit 190 can block light passing through a lens unit. The shutter drive device 191 drives the shutter unit 190. The electronic viewfinder 180 includes an eyepiece 183, a liquid crystal monitor 181 for EVF configured to electronically display an image of the subject, and an optical system 182 for EVF arranged to guide the image of the subject displayed by the liquid crystal monitor 181 for EVF to the eyepiece 183.
