<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connecting tube-disconnecting prevention mechanism of a multistage button type walking stick for mountain-climbing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multistage button type walking stick for mountain-climbing is equipped with: an outside connecting tube 101, in which a fixed gap 103 having an engagement end is combined with the lower part and a lock aperture 102 is formed in a circumference plane; an inward connecting tube 111 which can adjust length by being interposed in the outside connecting tube 101; a support body 122, in which a pressing gap 121, which is combined with the upper part of the inward connecting tube 111 and presses the inner peripheral face of the outside connecting tube 101, is formed; and a button 127, which is inserted in or separated from the lock aperture 102 of the outside connecting tube 101 by penetrating a through-hole 113 by the elastic force of an elastic member 126 elastically formed in the concave groove 123 of the inside of the support body 122 and performs locking and unlocking. In the walking stick, an elastic piece 124 is formed which is extended downward from the bottom of the support body 122, a close adhesion piece 125 is formed in the lower step of the elastic piece 124, and the through-hole 113 is formed in the inward connecting tube 111 so that the adhesion piece 125 contacts the outside connecting tube 101.
