<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine properly supplying the minimum required amount of a lubricant at the high speed and low speed rotation of a movable scroll and sufficiently securing sealing performance of a sliding section between the movable scroll and a fixed scroll, and improving power efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The movable scroll has a first communication passage which is communicated with a back pressure chamber and has an opening on an end plate surface of the movable scroll, and a second communication passage which is communicated with a boss section and has an opening on the end plate surface of the movable scroll. The fixed scroll 36 has opening edges 70a, 71a on the end plate surface of the fixed scroll, and has oil injection communication passages 70, 71, 80, and 81 for intermittently supplying the lubricant to a compression chamber when the opening edge meets an opening edge of first or second communication passage by a revolution circling motion of the movable scroll.
