<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PLC which eliminates unnecessary power consumption and wasteful power capacities caused by unused extension modules, and can suppress the lowering of a voltage caused by connection wiring or the like from a power supply module to extension modules. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The PLC is a building block type including a plurality of extension modules, and each extension module has a DC voltage input part on one side surface of a housing and has a DC voltage output part on the other side surface of the housing and has, in the housing, a power line connecting the input part and the output part, a DC-DC voltage conversion part for converting a DC high voltage on the power line to a DC low voltage, and an internal circuit operated at the DC low voltage from the DC-DC voltage conversion part.
