<p>A label switching method is disclosed by the embodiments of the present invention. When a passive optical network based (PON-based) label switching path (LSP) is established, a PON service logical transmission channel is established between an optical line terminal (OLT) and an optical network unit (ONU). According to the identification of the PON service logical transmission channel as a PON label, the PON-based forwarding information base (FIB) table on the ONU is updated, and the PON-based label forwarding information base (LFIB) table on the OLT is updated; the PON-based LFIB table records the forwarding relationship between the input port and input label and the output port and output label; the PON-based FIB table records the forwarding relationship between the input port and destination address and the output port and output label. When a data packet arrives at the ONU or OLT, the ONU performs route selection based on the PON-based FIB table said data packet carries, while the OLT performs forwarding and label switching respectively based on said PON-based FIB table and the PON-based LFIB table said data packet also carries. An OLT, ONU and label switching system are also disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention simplify the internal processing of mixed PON and multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) label switching networks, and avoids problems between network segments due to different forwarding characteristics, protocol variation, intersegment conversion, and mapping and control complexity.</p> |
