<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition method of a liquid fuel burner, shortening a time the liquid fuel burner using liquid fuel can be ignited. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition method of the liquid fuel burner for igniting the liquid fuel burner, which has construction emitting flame by using a glow plug having an electric heating element as an igniter and supplying the liquid fuel and air to a fuel passage provided adjacent to the electric heating element, includes supplying air to the fuel passage, operating the glow plug with a voltage exceeding a rated voltage simultaneously with start of the air supply or after start of the supply, and igniting the liquid fuel by supplying it to the fuel passage after the temperature of the electric heating element reaches an ignition temperature of the liquid fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
