<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass top plate wherein the top face operating part of a cooking device can be formed into a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: This glass top plate has a glass board 2 and a touch panel layer 3 directly formed on the back side 21 forming the side opposite to the cooking side of the glass board 2. The touch panel layer 3 has a transparent conductive film 31 directly formed on the back side 21 of the glass board 2, and a lead electrode 32 formed on the backside 21 so as to make contact with the transparent conductive film 31, and a transparent conductive layer 33 formed on the backside 21 so as to cover the transparent conductive film 31. The transparent conductive film 31 is formed by using an oxide semiconductor. The display of a display plate disposed in the lower part of the glass plate 1 for the cooking device is formed so that it is visible from the upper part of the glass top plate 1 for the cooking device through the touch panel layer 3. The thickness of the transparent conductive film 31 is preferably 10 nm-1,000 nm.
