<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required until the completion of notifications from a management server to a plurality of management object machines, in an asset management system under an intermittent connection environment, or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A notification system under an intermittent connection environment includes: a plurality of object machines which are connected to network segments (NW) on the management object side and intermittently connect to a server; a machine information storage device connected to the server, wherein IDs of NWs on the object side, IDs of machines, and prescribed processing object information are stored in association with one another; and a server which retrieves the machine information storage device, on the basis of the ID of the NW on the object side, to which a machine being a connection source belongs, in response to connection from the machine and acquires the ID of the machine and prescribed processing object information to transmit them to the machine being the connection source. The machine of the connection source executes processing, corresponding to the processing object information for the case of matching between the ID of a machine received from the server and the ID of the machine of the connection source, but transmits the processing object information corresponding to the received ID of the machine to the machine of another communication destination, which corresponds to the ID of the machine received, for the case of no-matching between them.
