<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain and manage performance of an antibacterial device by surely preventing a water passage hole in the casing of the antibacterial device from being clogged by dead bacteria or microorganisms without depending on human work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The casing of the antibacterial device (1) has a double structure comprising outer cylinders (2, 12) and inner cylinders (3, 13). Many water passage holes (6, 7, 16, 17) are bored on the outer cylinders and the inner cylinders. Further, the antibacterial device has a pressure difference forming means (9, 19, 59, 69, 79) for keeping a water pressure in the inner cylinder higher than a water pressure in the outside of the outer cylinder. Granules (10) of antibacterial glass are filled in circular regions (8, 18) formed between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. The water in the inner cylinder flows to the outside of the cylinder from the circular regions by the pressure difference formed by the pressure difference forming means.
