Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for precisely estimating a period or a temperature includes the steps of measuring the concentrations of 4-(1-hydroxy ethyl)-1,2-dihydroxybenzene and a caffeic acid in a food and drink containing a caffeic acid, calculating the ratio of concentrations of 4-(1-hydroxy ethyl)-1,2-dihydroxybenzene and the caffeic acid in the food and drink, and estimating the period or the temperature that a packed food is high-temperature stored to properly store-control the packed food and drink containing a caffeic acid by comparing the measured concentrations of 4-(1-hydroxyethyl)-1,2-dihydroxybenzene and an caffeic acid with the calculated concentrations thereof on a packed food and drink with known the period or the temperature of high-temperature storage.
