<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein it is necessary to execute a program at least twice, in order to detect whether to refer to an uninitialized area in conventional debugging systems. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This uninitialized reference detecting device for stack area is provided with a coverage memory, a stack area movement detection part, and a non write-in/readout detecting part. The coverage memory stores whether write-in or readout has been performed to the stock area of the main memory. The stack area movement detecting part detects the movement of a stack in the stack area; and when detecting the movement of the stack in the stack area, clears the area in the coverage memory, that is, the area corresponding to the movement area of the stack.
