PURPOSE: A wind propelled device for a ship is provided to obtain desired propulsion of a ship by regulating the development size of a wind receiving part. CONSTITUTION: A wind propelled device for a ship comprises a frame part with a free end hinged on the side of a ship with a certain distance, a wind receiving part(70), a first power unit(60), a second power unit(90), and a controller. The frame part is folded or unfolded on the side of the ship. The wind receiving part is deployed by receiving the wind force directed toward the front of the ship when the frame part is unfolded. The first power unit provides power for the frame part being folded or unfolded. The second power unit provides power for folding the frame part and the wind receiving part at the same time. The controller controls the operation of the second power unit and the first power unit. |
