PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magenta toner for forming a full-color image, extending a color reproduction region of RGB to faithfully reproduce manuscript data, thereby attaining color reproduction which is close to a region of Adobe RGB. SOLUTION: In magenta toner containing at least binder resin and a coloring agent, a composition formed by mixing rhodamine lake pigment and rosin denatured maleic acid resin is contained as a coloring agent.
