<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carburized part for obtaining a carburized part having high surface hardness and high strength by generating a large amount of fine carbides on the surface thereof by a carburizing and quenching process. <P>SOLUTION: Steel having the composition composed of, by mass%, 0.15-0.25% C, 0.90-1.30% Si, 0.70-1.10% Mn,≤0.030% P,≤0.100% S, 0.01-0.50% Cu, 0.01-0.50% Ni, 0.20-0.50% Cr,≤0.50% Mo,≤0.30% Al,≤0.05% N, further satisfying a condition of expression (1): [Si]+[Ni]+[Cu]-[Cr]>0.5, the residual Fe, and inevitable impurities, is vacuum-carburized so that the surface carbon concentration falls in a range of 0.9-1.5%, the steel is air-cooled to transform its surface structure into pearlite, and thereafter, the cementite in the pearlite structure is divided by performing induction hardening to produce fine carbides containing 90% or more of carbides of 1μm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
