<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person to walk without having a feeling of fatigue or an uncomfortable feeling, on a staircase with a floor height of the order of 2.5-4m. <P>SOLUTION: This staircase 10 is constituted by repeatedly providing a riser 5 and a tread 6 between lower-story and upper-story floor surfaces 1 and 2. The height of the riser of one step is represented by R, and the dimension of the tread is represented by T. The staircase 10 is divided into "a lower section (R1)" continuing into the floor surface 1, "an upper section (R3)" continuing into the floor surface 2, and "an intermediate section (R2)" between the lower and upper sections (R1) and (R3). In footsteps adjoining each other in upper and lower positions, the height of the riser of the intermediate section (R2) is set constant. The lower and upper sections (R1) and (R3) and the intermediate section (R2) satisfy the inequalities: R1<R2 and R3<R2. In the lower and upper sections (R1) and (R3) and the intermediate section (R2), a value obtained by subtracting the height of the lower-step riser of the lower section (R1) from that of the upper-step riser of the lower section (R1) is set less than 5-15 mm; and a value obtained by subtracting the height of the upper-step riser of the upper section (R3) from that of the lower-step riser of the upper section (R3) is set less than 5-15 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
