<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin and inexpensive large beam LED light source having high side radiation intensity. <P>SOLUTION: An LED light source includes an LED package 6 mounting at least one LED chip 3 on a heat dissipation substrate 1 wherein the LED chip 3 is sealed with a sealing resin 5 that is a translucent material, and a lens 7 which is arranged on the LED package 6 to increase the thickness toward the immediately above portion of each LED chip 3 and has a portion 8 recessed to the LED chip 3 side near the immediately above portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
