<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular knee airbag device capable of sufficiently inflating/deploying a knee airbag supported on an inner member while suppressing load applied to a joint part of an outer member and the inner member. <P>SOLUTION: The knee air bag device 10 for a front passenger seat includes: an airbag door retainer 42 of a glove door 20; a glove door inner 26 joined to a front side of the airbag door retainer 42; an air bag module 40 for deploying the knee airbag 86 by operation; an engagement hole 48 of the air bag door retainer 42; an engagement piece 84 of the airbag module 40; and a module fastening structure 80 for retaining the airbag module 40 to the glove door inner 26. The module fastening structure 80 retains the airbag module 40 at a position where the engagement piece 84 becomes non-engagement relative to the engagement hole 48 and allows the airbag module 40 applied with forward load of a predetermined value or more to be displaced in a direction that the engagement piece 84 is engaged with the engagement hole 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
