PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female terminal for obtaining a stable contact state with a male terminal even with a box part taken off. SOLUTION: The female terminal formed by folding a sheet of belt plate in a length direction includes a bottom plate 11 with a connecting part 20 to a wire fitted at a base end, and a top plate 15 turned up from a tip of the bottom plate over the bottom plate so as to cover the same through a nearly U-shaped curved part 13. A plug-in inlet 14 for inserting a tip-end tab part of a male terminal into is formed in penetration on a tip face of the U-shaped curved part, a first spring part 12 in pressing contact with an underside of the tip-end tab part of the male terminal formed in bending toward the top plate is provided on the way of the bottom plate in a length direction, and a second spring part 16 in pressing contact with a top face of the tip-end tab of the male terminal is provided at a free-end 17 side of the top plate.
