PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an apparatus that enables a liquid material to be applied to reeled paper reliably, uniformly, efficiently and safely. SOLUTION: The apparatus for applying the liquid material to a reeling material includes a coating surface and at least one separation unit on the reeling material. The reeled paper is guided to the coating surface and brought into contact with the coating surface in at least one contacting area. The liquid material is applied to the reeled paper in the contacting area, whereas the separation unit covers a part of the coating surface. The reeled paper may travel on the coating surface when the reeled paper is not in contact with the coating surface at the coated part. The liquid material can be moved from the end of the separation unit by means of at least one supplying unit installed at a supporting part of the separation unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
