PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of preventing an increase in the driving torque of the pump due to the sticking of a member of a valve device, capable of improving the responsiveness of the valve device, and capable of reducing the delivery pulsation of the pump. SOLUTION: The pump is equipped with a housing 5, fluid moving passages 6, 7 having fluid housing spaces 30, a suction passage 23, a delivery passage 24, and the valve device 9 for communicating the delivery passage 24 with the suction passage 23 when the fluid pressure of the delivery passage in a delivery process becomes the pressure of a predetermined pressure or more. The valve device 9 is equipped with a valve seat 50 partitioning return delivery passages 39, 43 communicated with the delivery passage 24 and return suction passages 38, 39 communicated with the suction passage 23, a diaphragm 53 so as to contact and separate away from the valve seat 50, and energizing means 55, 56 for energizing the diaphragm 53 against the valve seat 50 via a valve element 57.
