<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering the cross-sectional shape of an O-ring, made from a perfluoroelastomer, to the one before use from the one after use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for recovering the cross-sectional shape of the O-ring to the one before use comprises heat-treating the perfluoroelastomer-made O-ring after use whose cross-sectional shape is deformed from that before use at a temperature range of 25-400°C under pressure lower than atmospheric pressure.
