RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING RESIN BALLOON

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has high strength although it is lightweight and is excellent in mass-producibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The resin composition includes a base resin and resin balloons each composed of an outer shell portion and a hollow portion surrounded by the outer shell portion. The outer shell portion of the resin balloon is formed of a thermoplastic resin obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing a nitrile-based monomer in an amount of 93-97 mass%. The average thickness of the outer shell portion of the resin balloon is 0.35-0.50 μm, the average particle diameter of the resin balloons is 80-120 μm, and the variation coefficient CV of particle size distribution of the resin balloons is ≤30%. The true specific gravity of the resin balloon is 0.020-0.040 g/cc, the durability to repeated compression of the resin balloon is ≥83%, and the specific gravity of the resin composition is 0.70-0.80.
