METHOD OF TRANSMITTING MEASUREMENT REPORT MESSAGE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method of transmitting a measurement report message in a wireless communication system is provided to reduce the information amount of a report value included in a measurement report message. CONSTITUTION: A measurement values of a signal characteristic value of an adjacent cell is mapped to a report value classified based on the serving cell signal strength of a signal characteristic value of a serving cell. A measurement report message including the reporting value is transmitted. The measurement value is an RSRP(Reference Signal Received Power), and the serving cell is a GSM(Global System for Mobile communication)/GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) cell. The adjacent cell is an E-UTRAN(Evolved-UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network) cell.
