<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gray ink composition free from granular feeling and having improved excellent black tone reproduction, and to provide an ink set produced by using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The gray ink composition, containing carbon black, a cyan organic pigment, and a magenta organic pigment, satisfies the formula: 60×X/469+0.2<M/C<60×X/469+4, wherein X is the total content of the carbon black, the cyan organic pigment, and the magenta organic pigment in the gray ink; C is the content of the cyan organic pigment in the gray ink composition; and M is the content of the magenta organic pigment in the gray ink composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
