<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gift order reception system using a mobile terminal, which reduces system and operation cost in a busy period of a department store, and receives an order of a gift commodity without making a customer wait. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the gift order reception system using the mobile terminal. A salesclerk inputs customer information and information about the gift commodity to be purchased by the customer to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal transmits the input information to a database server, confirms the customer information and calculates the total price of the gift commodities, from a gift server having a database accumulating the customer information and commodity information based on the customer information and gift commodity information received by the database server. Order reception information comprising the confirmed customer information, the gift commodities, use, and the total price is prepared. The database server transmits the created order reception information to the mobile terminal. The salesclerk presents the transmitted order reception information or an output order statement to the customer and obtains confirmation of the customer.
