<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means preventing an unauthorized act by a third party when discharging a plurality of transaction media such as a bill or a transaction card to a customer. <P>SOLUTION: An automated teller machine 1 automatically performing a transaction with the customer has: a card handling port 6a performing the insertion and the discharge of the transaction card; a bankbook handling port 7a performing the insertion and the discharge of a bankbook; a bill handling port 8a performing the input and the discharge of the bill; and a coin handling port 9a performing the input and the discharge of a coin. The automated teller machine is provided with proximity sensors 12a-12d in the card handling port 6a, the bankbook handling port 7a, the bill handling port 8a, and the coin handling port 9a, and performs discharge operation by the handling port provided with the proximity sensor 12 when the proximity sensor 12 detects the approach of the customer after the discharge preparation of the handling medium ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
