<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight plant cultivation bed suitable for plants which can grow even with a small amount of water, and to provide a plant cultivation method excellent in ascertainment of growth conditions in mass production of the plants in the plant cultivation bed. <P>SOLUTION: The plant cultivation bed is produced by releasably laminating a first light-shielding sheet 4 having root permeability on the surface of a support net 3 and letting the plant roots entwine to support the periphery of the support net by a frame 2. A water-holding mat 6 is laminated on the back surface of the support net. A second light-shielding sheet 5 is laminated between the support net and the water-holding mat, and a third light-shielding sheet 7 is laminated on the back surface of the water-holding mat. The plants are moss plants. The plant cultivation method includes laying down the plant cultivation bed to grow the plants, and setting up the plant cultivation bed after the plant roots entwine the support net to grow the plant. After the plant roots entwine the support net, the two plant cultivation beds are integrated with the roots of the plants facing each other and also set up to grow the plants. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
