<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which requires only a small number of components and which can be easily assembled in a space-saving manner, and a sliding door unit using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This actuator 1 includes: a sun gear 3 which is fixed to an output shaft 2a of a motor; an intermediate gear 4 which is equipped with a large-diameter gear meshed with the sun gear and a small-diameter gear rotating integrally with the large-diameter gear; a base bracket 5 which is arranged in the motor and on which a supporting shaft for pivoting the intermediate gear 4 is protrusively provided; a drum 6 for winding an inner cable, which is formed with a ring gear 6a arranged outside the small-diameter gear and having an inner peripheral surface meshed with the small-diameter gear; and a housing 7 which houses and sandwiches the drum vertically. In the actuator 1, a shaft end of the supporting shaft of the intermediate gear is brought into sliding contact with a top surface of the drum, so as to limit the axial displacement of the drum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
