PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair with a reclining mechanism, displacing a seat part backward, in association with backward tilting of a backrest while holding down a backward projection of the backrest in reclining. SOLUTION: This chair with the reclining mechanism includes: the seat part 13 supported to displace forward and backward by a support part 14 having a pair of a roller 14a and an abutment block 14b; the backrest 15 having the center of rotation (a rotating shaft 21) above the seat part 13 to be reclined; and an association part 16 operatively connecting the backrest and the seat part with each other so that when the backrest 15 reclines backward, the seat part 13 is displaced backward and when the backrest 15 rises, the seat part 13 is displaced forward by inverting and transmitting the back and forth movement of the backrest below the center of rotation to the rear end of the seat part 13.
