PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a front end part from spring out by fatigue destruction of a hinge spring for urging a lid body freely turnably provided for a rice cooker body in a lid-opening direction. SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: the rice cooker body 1; an inner pot 2 attachably/removably fitted to the rice cooker body; an inductive coil 6 which is provided inside the rice cooker body and heats the inner pot; a lid body 12 freely rotatably provided for the rice cooker body; and a hinge spring 30 which is provided above a rear part of the rice cooker body and has a coil part 31 for urging the lid body in the lid-opening direction. An engaging part 32 to be one end side of the hinge spring abuts on an inside cover body 29a of a hinge cover 29 provided above the rear part of the rice cooker body, a front end part of a rod-shaped spring part 33 to be the other end side of the hinge spring is engaged in such a way as pressed against a hinge spring engaging part 27 provided on a rear side of the lid body 12, and a hook-shaped engaging part 34 which is bent and provided at the front end of the rod-shaped spring part 33 of the hinge spring is engaged so that it is prevented from pulling off by the hinge spring engaging part.
