<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller-type one-way clutch improving reliability by a structure for discharging dust deposited inside the clutch to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The roller type one-way clutch includes: an outer ring 1 having at least one pocket 4 provided at its inner periphery with a cam surface 12; an inner ring 2 spaced apart from the outer ring 1 radially inside of the outer ring 1 and coaxially arranged for a relative rotational movement; a roller 3 disposed in the pocket 4, engaged by the cam surface, and transmitting torque between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2; a cage 6 having a cylindrical portion, a flange portion extending outwardly from the cylindrical portion in the outer diameter direction, and a window having a circumferential window width smaller than a diameter of the roller 3 and disposed on the cylindrical portion to hold the roller 3, and rotatable relative to the outer ring 1; and a spring 5 disposed in the pocket 4 and urging the roller 3 toward an engagement direction with respect to the cam surface 12.
