PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative resin molding article which sufficiently ensures an excellent chemical resistance and a high adhesive property of a metal thin film to a design surface and, in addition, can express the metal surface more realistically. SOLUTION: The molding article is obtained by forming the metal thin film 20 directly on the design surface 18 of a substrate 12 by a physical vapor deposition method or a chemical vapor deposition method to attain a decoration of metal tone, and laminating a first top coat layer 22, comprising a coating of a transparent paint which bridges both a resin and a metal, directly on the metal thin film 20, and further laminating a second top coat layer 23 comprising a transparent coating whose glass transition temperature is 55-120°C directly on the first top coat layer 22.
