PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be easily insertion-coupled with a small insertion force, and to use a low-cost sealing member. SOLUTION: For the waterproof connector 1 provided with a female connector 3 equipped with a connector housing 13 housing terminal metal fittings 11 and a cylindrical connector hood 17 forming a housing part 15 against the connector housing 13, a male connector 5 equipped with a connector body 21 housing terminals 19 and an insertion-coupling hood part 23 insertion-coupled with the housing part 15 of the female connector 3, and a sealing member 7 pinched between the connector housing 13 and the insertion-coupling hood part 23, press-fitting ribs 9 for press-fitting end parts of the sealing member 7 in an insertion-coupling direction are provided at the insertion-coupling hood part 23.
