<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a printing device providing a well-finished printed matter without having an adverse affect on gloss of the printed matter by drying at a drying part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A flat sheet P printed in a printing part B is transferred to a smoothing cylinder 20 from the impression cylinder 3 of a final printing unit 5, the printed face of the flat sheet P abuts on the smoothing cylinder 20 to sufficiently make ink fit to the paper. The flat sheet P transferred from the smoothing cylinder 20 to a drying impression cylinder 11 is dried at the drying part T, and transferred to the chain conveyance device 12 of a paper delivery part C.
