PURPOSE: An automatic sliding headrest for a vehicle is provided to forward and reverse a head rest when unfolding and folding a seat back, relatively. CONSTITUTION: An automatic sliding headrest for a vehicle comprises a pair of cross members, a moving shaft(20), a guide plate(24), a return spring(30) and a rocking member. A pair of cross members is into one body formed on the rear side of a hollow stay of a head rest frame. A pair of cross members is separated to the top and bottom. The moving shaft is into one body formed in both ends of each cross member. A slot(28) in which the moving shaft is inserted is formed on the guide plate for the headrest slide. The guide plate for the headrest slide is integrated with a side frame(22).
