<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detecting a target using a high-speed sampling device. <P>SOLUTION: The device and method for detecting the target improves precision and speed of target detection in applications of security and supervision, using a logic circuit. As a logic element, a commercial field programmable gate array can be used. In one embodiment, a multi gigabit transfer (MGT) port of a field programmable gate array is locked on an external clock. When a MGT port is coupled to an external clock, a rate at which receiving signals are sampled can be increased without use of the device in an over sampling mode. Accordingly, the field programmable gate array can be sampled at a speed at least 8 times as large as an actual transfer rate, thus improving the speed and precision of target detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
