<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a false alarm by cluttering using a clutter map in a radar apparatus for tracing a target by performing beam scan in an optional direction. <P>SOLUTION: Based on search/trace category information and transmitting/receiving directional information, during search, the clutter map 11 creates a clutter map by calculating an average value in the time direction for each distance and direction of an output signal of a receiver.
