<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To frequently execute lock-up engagement control and lock-up slip control, while restricting occurrence of booming noise incident to drive of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of slip control regions (regions A-C) are set based on the timing of occurrence of booming noise incident to drive of the engine (the time till the booming noise occurs after a vehicle travelling condition enters the region). For example, regions B and C, in which the booming noise occurs in the case of continuous travelling when a road load takes a balance in a slope but the booming noise does not occur soon when the vehicle travelling condition enters the region, are positively used to increase the frequency of execution of the lock-up slip control, and the fuel economy effect by the lock-up slip control is thereby increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
