PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfectant composition for industrial use, including 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one stable over a long period. SOLUTION: The disinfectant composition for industrial use includes: 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one; water; a hydrophilic organic solvent and/or a surfactant; one or more compounds represented by formula (1): AXO<SB>n</SB>(wherein, A is H or alkali metal ion; X is halogen atom; and n is an integer of 1-4), or one or more compounds represented by formula (2) (wherein, α is nitro or cyano; β and γ are each bromine atom, aminocarbonyl, cyano, cyanoalkyl, hydroxyalkyl or haloalkyl).
