METHOD FOR PRODUCING STARCH AND ETHANOL BY USING ALGAE RELEASING STARCH TO EXTERIOR OF CELL

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing bioethanol by which the production can be carried out even in a high latitude region having little irradiation of sunlight in a low-temperature environment by utilizing a surplus quantity of heat in the industrial production and further utilizing an organic waste and discharged carbon dioxide by dragging the faint sunlight thereinto by using an optical fiber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for continuously producing bioethanol includes using starch particles continuously obtained by continuously culturing alga without collecting the algae cells (alga body) themselves by allowing starch particles to be released to the exterior of the cells, and subjecting the starch particles to saccharification and fermentation steps. Bioethanol can be produced even in the whole region of from the tropical region to the high latitude region in the world, and bioethanol having a cost meeting a price as an alternate fuel can be produced by the reduction of the production cost by carrying out the successive starch production.
