<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce color shift in developer images in respective colors which are transferred by superposing on a sheet. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The frictional force generated between a fixing unit 60 and a sheet is Ff when a fixing unit 60 transports while holding the sheet. The frictional force generated between a skewing roll 22 and the sheet is Fr when the skewing roll 22 transports while holding the sheet. The frictional force occurring between a transporting roll 34 and the sheet is Fh when the transporting roll 34 transports while holding the sheet. The frictional force Fh is made smaller than both the frictional force Ff and the frictional force Fr. The distance L from a fixing position A of the fixing unit 60 to a correction position B in the skewing roll 22 going through the transporting roll 34 is made longer than the length of a long side of the sheet which can be supplied by a paper supplying cassette 16, in a second transporting path 32.
