<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a stripping operation of optical fiber without scattering matter to be removed such as fast winding and rough winding that occurs upon operations in order to shorten a time of middle-later branch operations of the optical fiber cable. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 includes: a slot 5 provided with at least one groove 7 on the outer circumference; optical fibers 9 stored in the grooves; the rough winding 11 wound on the outer circumference of the slot 5; the fast winding 13 disposed on the outer circumference of the rough winding 11; and a cable sheath 17 with which the outer circumference of the fast winding 13 is covered. On the portion where the rough winding 11 is in contact with the fast winding 13, the rough winding 11 gets into such a state as to adhere to the fast winding 13. While, on the portion where the rough winding 11 is not in contact with the fast winding 13, the rough winding 11 is thermally deteriorated and gets into such a state as not to be welded with the cable sheath 17.
