The invention relates to a method for adjusting an operating program that is to be executed in an interior of a cooking appliance and comprises at least one cooking program and/or at least one cleaning program. In said method, at least one of a plurality of parameters can be adjusted by means of at least one display and control device. The parameter, the adjustable values of the parameter, and the adjusted value are at least temporarily displayed in a visualized manner on the display and control device. The invention also relates to a cooking appliance for carrying out said method.
