Disclosed is a brightness correction device provided with a display unit; an illumination sensor for measuring the illuminance value, which is ambient environment information; a memory unit for storing the current brightness setting value and the calculation information for calculating the delay time; an illumination control unit in which the target brightness setting value is determined from the illuminance value measured by the illumination sensor, the brightness correction start time is determined in response to the target brightness setting value, the current brightness setting value and the calculation information stored in the memory unit, the change in the brightness setting is calculated in each designated time from the current brightness setting value stored in the memory unit at the brightness correction start time and the target brightness setting value, and the output brightness setting value is output in response to the calculated change in the brightness setting; and a brightness control unit for adjusting the brightness of the display unit in response to the output brightness setting value output by the illumination control unit.
