The toilet bowl (1) has devices arranged in a technical compartment (5) for cleaning a toilet seat (2), and a step motor (12) by which the toilet seat is movable in the technical compartment. The step motor is equipped with a programmable logic controller. The permanent step motors, reluctance step motors or hybrid motors are used as a step motor. The toilet seat is arranged on the toilet bowl in guide rails.
